Not too long ago, I received an inquiry about using our film during the manufacturing process. The idea was to protect a component during manufacturing, and to remove the protective film after the manufacturing process was complete. After discussing the company’s needs, and some internal testing, we found our 12 mil Clear Gloss film would do the trick. Since the product only needed short-term protection, we looked at a low-tack adhesive option for them, but in the end our higher-tack adhesive was the better option.
The importance in protecting a product, component, or piece during the manufacturing process can not be overstated. When the end product and satisfied customer are on the line, the most important aspect of the manufacturing process is quality control. Not all, but some of the problems can be fixed with a simple solution. Sometimes that simple solution is a film to protect the part from damage. If that is the case, we may have the solution for you.
We have helped manufacturers for years to protect their products from the production floor to their customer. In building the relationships with the manufacturers, we realize how often there are problems on the production floor that cause damage to the end product. Even after the products leave the production floor, there can be small quality issues that can be resolved with a protective film or tape.
If you have a manufacturing quality control issue, or have an idea for how a protective film may make the manufacturing process better, contact us. Thank you for your time.
